Accidental Adrenaline self-injection

eg with Epipen or Emerade.

Causes vasoconstriction with potential for gangrene.

Try:

  • warm water immersion
  • local nitroglycerin paste
  • subcut infiltration with a mixture of 1.5mg of phentolamine, 1mL of 2% lidocaine (at site and along course of digital arteries)
